After successfully completing 2 years and running into its 3rd year with hit wine competition, USA Wine Ratings, Beverage Trade Network has launched their first wine competition in France, the Paris Wine Cup 2020.

Beverage Trade Network aims to create a new benchmark for the French wine buyers by organizing the Paris Wine Cup 2020 where the leading on-trade wine buyers of France will gather to review and assess each wine submission on the basis of Quality, Value for Money, and Packaging.

The competition originated with a need to recognise, reward and help promote wine brands that have successfully been created to identify with and target a specific wine drinker.

For any wine brand to earn its place on a retailer’s shelf or a restaurant’s wine list - and then vitally stay there - they need to be marketable and consumer-driven.

That is where the Paris Wine Cup stands apart. The competition will single out and shine the spotlight on those wine brands that consumers really want to buy and the brands that have a clear market value for trade buyers.

The Paris Wine Cup will judge each wine in three key areas:

  1. Their Quality.

  2. Their Value for Money.

  3. Their Packaging.

To be an award winner, the wine will need to be of top-quality, that offers both the trade and the consumers great value for money, and the bottle will need to look good and truly stand out on the shelf and on the back bar of any establishment.

BTN’s wine competitions are aimed at establishing a buying benchmark on the parameters of Quality, Value, and Packaging, where the local wine buyers assess each wine entry based on their perceptions of how the brand will do in that region. BTN implements the same philosophy in France, with an additional benefit of promoting the winners in major international markets like the USA and China.

After achieving great success in the US wine market with USATT, USA Wine Ratings, and IBWSS SF, and in the Chinese wine market with IBWSS China and China Wine Competitions, BTN recognised the need for French wines in these international markets. For French wines to reach out to their global export audience, the Paris Wine Cup gives an opportunity to medal winners to be showcased at the upcoming BTN events in USA and China.

Other BTN Events:

  1. USA Wine Ratings

  2. USATT

  3. IBWSS SF

  4. IBWSS China

  5. China Wine Competition
