What exactly is La Fête, you ask? Well, it translates as “The Harvest Festival” from French to English. La Fête des Vendanges is the celebration of the wine harvest. It falls on October 7th this year and ends on Oct 11th.

Did You Know? - La Fête des Vendanges has been taking place since 1934 in Montmartre.

So here we bring you 10 different varietals from France itself to sip on this exciting day - La Fête des Vendanges.

Pinot noir - Descendance

Descendance is the emblematic cuvée of Champagne Pointillart Leroy. It is the image of the generations of passionate winegrowers that succeeded each other to create this Blanc de Noirs cuvée made entirely with black grapes, which is the reflection of the winery’s Premier Cru terroir.

Descendance has a luminous and fluid hue. The nose expresses character and some greediness revealed by notes of quince, blackcurrant, red apple, and almond. Then it develops aromas of fruits like plum, orange, mango, fig, or cherry. The palate is rich and fresh with creamy and polished bubbles. It reveals a fruity, pulpy, and crunchy structure highlighted by the acidity of pomelo and fleshy fruits. The whole is guided by the expression of our clay-limestone and clay sandy terroir, which gives it cleanness and fruity volume. The whole reveal of soft spice aromas with a touch of bitterness that gives palatability.
